The fields are beautiful fields that I remember playing at as a child and would love to help bring them back for future generations of kids. I appreciate any help with this endeavor. Thank you for taking the time to look at these emails.

Below outlines a list of items that would improve the cosmetics and safety of these fields / Park.
1. General ground maintenance
Fill in and leveling the holes in the outfield
Clearing the remaining brush on the backside hill (Opening up the view of the field from the parking lot)
Clearing and cleaning the front stairs/entrance facing Old Leominster Rd.
Fix or replace flower boxes surrounding the trees next to the Concession stand
Clear the debris and pick up the trash from the nature trail that runs parallel to the field
Erect a sign stating the name of the fields / Welcome to Fitchburg Youth Baseball
General maintenance and safeguarding of the dugouts
Cover or safeguarding nails sticking through the bottom of the roof of the dugouts
Making the dugouts lockable (Keeping the general public/undesirables from sleeping or hanging out inside)
Concession Stand: Paint the concession stand Fitchburg red (possibly a mural on one wall if an artist is present and interested
Flagpole: Erect/Install donated flagpole
Baseball field fence: Replace outdated and cracked fence top covers
From FYBA Baseball League: Here’s a list of items that would benefit the field clean up:
10 gallons Fitchburg red paint (if that can’t get that donated I will personally buy)
red mulch to spruce up variety of areas
2 sheets of plywood to fix areas that are rotten
A friend could take care of the exposed nails in the dugouts if he had these items
10 sheets of luan
10 tubes liquid nails caulking
10 tubes of silicone caulking
bags of cement to erect flag pole that was donated
if anyone wanted to donate a gift certificate or some type of gift basket I was thinking it might be a nice to raffle it off to the volunteers. Just an idea.
